New to Primary OSHCare

A smooth and stress-free transition

We understand enrolling your child in Outside School Hours Care for the first time can seem a little daunting. Our staff are dedicated to making you and your child feel comfortable from the start.

An initial meet and greet

Transitioning to OSHC becomes easier when kids feels like they’re in a familiar environment.

We encourage you to bring your child in to your local Primary OSHCare service for an initial visit to show them around, meet our friendly team, and even make new friends.

What you can do to prepare

What you can do to prepare

There are plenty of things you can do to help your child settle in comfortably at one of our services. We recommend on their first day that you bring along the following:

  • A favourite toy or blanket
  • Change of clothes
  • A list of their favourite activities (you can download an All About Me form here and bring this in with you).
Does your child have a medical condition?

Does your child have a medical condition?

It’s important that we know of any of your child’s medical requirements so we can provide the best possible care for them. If applicable, we ask that you bring:

  • Your child's medication (e.g. Ventolin for Asthma, EpiPen for Anaphylaxis, Zyrtec for Allergies, etc)
  • A completed Medical Management Plan
  • Any other relevant paperwork from your doctor.
Picking and dropping off your child

Picking and dropping off your child

We ask that only primary guardians pick up and drop off children on their first day.

If you need someone else to pick up or drop off your child at any time, please ensure you’ve given authorisation for them to do so via Kidsoft. If you require any assistance, please contact your specific service.

We're here to help.

Talk to your local Service Coordinator to discuss how we can further assist your child in transitioning to one of our services.
