Important safety notice – ACCC product recall

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has issued an urgent recall for certain decorative sand products sold nationally between January 2020 and November 2025. These products may contain asbestos.

The ACCC advises the risk is low because testing did not find asbestos fibres that can be inhaled. However, any asbestos in a children’s product is unacceptable and requires immediate action.

All our services have audited their sites and removed any affected products in line with ACCC instructions. We have also communicated this information to families and provided guidance on safe handling and disposal if they have these products at home.
